Official Statement
We are so sorry but after careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision
to take a fallow year for SEB Fest in 2026.
Like many independent festivals across the UK, we have faced increasing challenges in recent years,
including rising event costs, increased competition and lower ticket sales.
As a result, we do not feel it would be responsible to proceed this year.
Since launching in 2015, SEB has grown from a small community event into an award-winning family festival welcoming thousands of visitors from across Essex and beyond.
We are incredibly proud of the community we have built together and would like to thank everyone who has supported the festival over the past 11 years.
Whilst the main festival will not take place this year, we are planning an SEB Day Party at Acanteen and will be working behind the scenes on the next chapter of SEB.

See the DJs | Learn the Craft
Watch headline DJs bring the festival to life, then wander a little closer to the action and see how it all actually happens. Alongside the main performances, you can try out DJ taster lessons, catch talented under-18 DJs showcasing their skills in the Silent Disco, and explore music production courses and insights into the wider music industry. It’s all about enjoying the music first, with plenty of chances to spark new ideas if the festival bug inspires you to get involved yourself.
Culture Corner | Create, Connect, Keep Well
Not everything loud needs a bass drop. Culture Corner is where creativity stretches its legs and wellbeing gets a comfy seat. Dive into interactive art, hands-on creative activities, and friendly spaces focused on festival safety, youth support, parent peace-of-mind, and keeping your head as happy as your playlist. Think of it as the festival’s recharge zone for minds, moods, and meaningful moments.
Street Food & Pop-Up Bars | Fuel the Fun
Dancing burns energy. Luckily, salvation arrives on wheels, grills, and taps. Wander through a globe-trotting lineup of street food legends and pop-up bars serving everything from quick bites to “worth the queue” feasts. Sweet, savoury, spicy or sip-worthy, there’s plenty to keep everyone happily fuelled from first beat to final encore.
